Moissanite is a budget friendly alternative to a natural diamond. Moissanite is a gemstone that’s composed of silicon carbide. First discovered by Henri Moissan, a French scientist, moissanite was originally found in the crater left behind by a fallen meteor. Moissanite today is made in a laboratory due to their extreme rarity. They are a very hard and durable stone, only a diamond is harder than moissanite.
Lab-grown diamonds are composed of all of the same elements of mined diamonds. The only difference is they are made in a laboratory in a controlled environment, ensuring they all come out beautiful. Making them in a laboratory removes the need to disrupt the earth in order to find diamonds, it also makes them cost less!
